Piercing Care 3 – Steriod -Creme & Narbengel

you definitely check them out i’m gonna pop them down below just to see the journey and how i’ve gotten to this point so i’ve been given a bio oil and i’m gonna pick that up tomorrow and a cream which i think has steroids in it this is what it currently looks like so big swollen ear i’ve got to put the cream on for two weeks and then i’ll be allowed to start using the bio oil so we’re gonna be saying goodbye to this little bar hopefully we’ll get rid of this and then down the line if it doesn’t work apparently we’re gonna use steroid injections so today i got my cream from the doctors this is the box it came in so it’s a steroid cream this is the cream and the box it’s fuse a bit and it’s got fucidic acid and beta menthosome which sorry if i’m saying that wrong but is the best way i can say it and yeah so i’m just going to be taking this for the next two weeks and seeing how it goes and if uh at the end of that i need the bio oil then that’s something i’ll move on to as well so i just need to apply a thin layer of this onto my ear and not clog it up too much and hopefully that will do the trick hello and so this is an update this is one week with doing the steroid cream so as you can see some of the shape has come back to my ear it’s looking a lot better uh no longer got any keloid bumps just wanted to show you that this is the other side for comparison i have some photos of the days in between because i didn’t have time to film so as you can see no pain you know it’s gradually getting a bit smaller it’s a shame i had to take it out but i mean hopefully it says for one more week that i’ve gotta do this maybe it’ll be smaller maybe it’ll be okay we will see this is now the millionth thing i’ve tried on my ear and it’s taken taking it out to at least half the size of it it’s looking it’s got a lot more shape it’s no longer as thick but i’m having a slight feeling that we may need to go down a different route after and maybe maybe steroid injections aren’t completely off the table yet i’m thinking however i found this little cream be brilliant for my conch piercing it has completely gotten rid of the keloid bumps sorted out literally in days and i was like you know i had like a little one on my tragus and a little one on my you know conch piercing that i talked about before gone absolutely gone you know that one was like a lot less a lot less worse is that english i don’t know but basically it’s already gone i’ll show you some close-ups but yeah sorted no bump it worked on that side this side it’s doing something but the antibiotics that was on definitely didn’t do nearly as much as this did and this is less than a week so that says a lot i just wanted to do a bit of an update so as you can see this is sorry about the hair diameter the scar it has gone down a bit it’s still not quite the same size as the other side from using the steroid cream and everything they have sent me a gel that i will add a photo of that i have to order myself so i’m going to be doing that and that i have to just keep applying until i get my injections in january i think they said so i’m going to have a steroid injection and i’m going to track my progress with that as well just to show you if everything goes wrong this is the process that i’ve gone through personally it might not be the same for other people but i haven’t seen people have this done so that’s why i thought i’d get a documentation of what i’ve gone through because it’s sucky but if this happens to you you can then track a kind of path to go down or things to ask for or things to expect because i didn’t get offered them straight away it’s kind of been a case of i tried the um fusic acid and because it’s not completely gone down and there’s still a bit of a thick scar that’s the next step it has gone down quite a bit to be fair if it had been caught sooner then i think it probably would have been fine like my conch piercing it completely healed that that is completely perfect and now there’s there’s no bump and i’m now able to wear a really pretty bar in it and it’s shorter bar and literally no worries my tragus is when they flared up used on that oh my god fixes smaller ones easier but this one was so deep and so on the inside it’s kind of hard because got rid of the bumps on the outside as you can see they’re just like tiny little little things now thickness of the scar through the middle needs to be dissolved and worked on so yeah that’s where i’m at with those and i will put an update and add it to this when i know more or when something’s going on and yeah i’ll see you in a bit so i finished the course of the fusibit that i was using and i’ve done about a week and a half now of the keloid cream that my doctor recommended so this is actually the scar cream that he told me to have and to use until my steroid injections he did say they were gonna be in january but now obviously who knows this is called kilo coat and what i’ll do is i will put a link that he sent me in the description below it was 30 pounds but i got it for 22 because there was an offer i use it once in the morning and once at night that was what was recommended it’s a silicone formula and it is a clear gel that you just apply and you massage into the area it takes a couple of minutes to dry and is quite tacky slash sticky and you just have to i’d normally have my hair back or banded back and just wait for it to dry as you can see this is how it’s healed it is a lot less red and a lot better than it was before i’ve also been using it on my ear scars as well and i’ve found that that’s been helping this is just to compare it to the other side and how much it has to go i will try include a before and after just here to show you how much it’s changed and how it’s gone down if you look up close you can still see the bumps however it is a lot smaller than it was overall i feel happy with the size it’s not as noticeable it’s a lot better i think that this works well for the external bumps however the bumps on the inside i find it hasn’t really done much but that’s because they’re on the inside and that scarring really i think will only go away with the steroid injections however i find that this really worked well on the keloid bumps my conch piercing has completely healed now it’s perfect i kind of wish that i had used this or at least even this silicone scar cream on my ears beforehand before taking this out because it might have helped more to just get a bit on the inside instead of what i was worried about happening happening and there being like more scarring on the inside that i can’t now deal with because it’s healed on the outside my main thing that i’ve read and looked at over the years is try not to take piercings out unless it’s really really been advised by your gp because especially if they’re infected the infection can get trapped on the inside so you want to make sure you get rid of as much of the infection beforehand before you take it out however with mine mine was healed and i’d been working on it for a while so i was like i could probably take this out and my gp was like you could or you know you could wait it out i’d kind of been trying to heal it a hundred percent for the last three four years so at that point i’d kind of given up and i kind of regret just giving up on it because i might have had a better result if i just stuck it through a bit longer i will keep updating you with the sich is in fact christmas day i’m supposed to be getting my surgery done in january and i’m only a weekend of using this so annoyingly it looks like it might be the 90 days instead of the 60 that i’m using this for but if i see any noticeable changes i will take a video and i will show you hopefully i’ll be able to get the injections sooner rather than later if not we’ll wait and see see you in a bit thank you for watching this video i currently have no updates on the situation my ear
