of you who are new this video has been supposed to have been up for over a week now and unfortunately that hasn’t worked so I’m finally doing it today I’ve done it five times today already and hopefully this is the last time so this video is part 1 of 2 and today we are going to be discussing how to maintain your piercings and then Friday part 2 is how to maintain your tattoos now really quickly I just want to make sure that it’s abundantly clear this is mainly aftercare after that after your piercings that heal you can do a lot of this stuff while your piercings are healing but typically most of this involves being taken out and those you can’t do until appeal so we’re gonna focus on after it’s heal and I apologize for background noise it’s a little bit [Music] sorry the puppy just came inside he’s all picked up and stuff so anyways I’m going to try to blow right through this video I don’t want it to be more than 11 minutes if I can handle that so first and foremost there’s one mixture I want to talk about right off the bat which is a target removing mixture now I’ve already done this in my earlier videos that I tried to do earlier today and but I’m not gonna do it again but I still want to talk about it and that is this yellow mixture right here this mixture is the tartar remove a mixture and it is half a tablespoon of baking soda and two tablespoons of lemon juice it’s important to have it in its whole glass or container because it will fit like volcano with vinegar and baking soda because of the citric acid but this is an amazing mixture if you stick your tongue in there with both the balls off it’s going to help you remove all of the tartar two minutes no more no less and you should be golden and then you want to so drop your tongue ring and the balls into your other mixture that I will be talking about in a second for five to ten minutes and then rinse it off and it’s good to get put back in your mouth I don’t how am i turning in alright so all of the measurements and instructions for these will be in the description just in case I blow past it too fast for whatever reason so this mixture right here I have divided it into two and it is one tablespoon of sea salt and I also added pink Himalayan salt to my sea salt and then four tablespoons or one quarter cup of distilled water distilled water is the best to use for DIY beauty this kind of stuff and what not for the simple fact that it is the safest solution because it will not go back it won’t grow grow mold or bacteria or anything so it’s safer and you can get a nice gallon jug for $1 all right and sea salt is recommended but if you’re in a pinch you can use other salts like I’m almost out I don’t know if you can tell but I use this a lot and I got this from the Dollar Tree actually my pink Himalayan salt but any salt will work if you have to but sea salt is recommended and it was also recommended before I get into too much details to clean or to remove all of your jewellery once a week soak it for five to ten minutes and then give it a nice thorough clean now I’ve removed everything other than my Munroe and my age is my Munroe I’m leaving in for the simple fact that it’s a little bit difficult to take out so I don’t want to waste too much time and my gauges I want to show you’re gonna clean your gauges throughout the week and then like all the other ones I have removed once a week you’ll take these out and do that so I’m going to grab what I need and we’re gonna get to cleaning alright this is why I actually divided my mixture into two one for cleaning with and then one for soaking wait now you might need more of a mixture if you’re going to be you over if you have like really large quantities of jewelry that you’re gonna soak together but for me I don’t have that many so I’m going to I have two q-tips and I typically if I hadn’t have clean it’s a little bit warming here but if I hadn’t have cleaned my everything already I would be doing it twice but just remember two times you want to do two around the front two around the back and two inside I’m only gonna be doing one to each stuff so one second alright so I have the sole Lucian dipped on the q-tip and I’m going to be doing this now you could buy this mixture already made but I I think it’s easier just to make your own and it’s a lot cheaper to make your own and you can also get spray bottle to literally recreate the expensive over $10 form so do this choice around the outside and I’m only doing it once again and then twice around the back I’m gonna get this wedding alright and then what twice through the middle now I’m jump cutting this to save time because we’re already 5 minutes in and I have a little bit more to take care of but I’m not going to be cleaning out most of my other piercings on camera all I would do is clean the top of each of them clean the inside and then clean my septum or clean the inside of my nose to clean my septum ring and this one but again not gonna do that and then I’m going to get a different q-tip goes through here and then we’re gonna get on to the next one alright now we’re going to go through here and throw that away ok so now we’re going to do the part that was requested but really quickly I just want to say that I am removing this off-camera and then while that’s out I’m going to be doing a race or a gargle whatever you want to call it kind of like mouthwash but with the sea salt solution in my mouth to clean out my tongue ring or to clean up the area that my tongue ring resides and that will also clean the inside of my mouth for here and for my lip ring but now we’re gonna get on to the bellybutton part and that should just about wrap up this video so alright I don’t know if I said this but make sure your hands aren’t clean when you’re doing all of this and when you replace it I already washed my hands now I have the already activated charcoal face wash you can use any kind of soap as but this is the part of the video that was actually requested by one of my subscribers Ariana and it’s very important to keep your bellybutton clean especially if you have a belly ring like I do and I was surprised to learn that this area is so neglected and what kind of bacteria can sit in here I’m gonna link an article from National Geographic that just kind of bleep hits the point home that you should do this once a week so God want to end with the feast watch on it and I am going to just go into the belly button hopefully standing like this is my back arched making my stomach look big this is going to help you guys see it you can also lift up your stomach and just kind of spread it to get into all of the nooks and crannies this is the fifth time I’ve done this so don’t expect to see any dirt I remember being a child and cleaning my building button for the first time it was so disgusting let the other end and we’re gonna wet the end two times basically to remove all of the soap and grime and sorry about the paint I have on me I’ve been painting a lot lately so I’m gonna do this one more time and then take another end and dry and get that done so all right so one more what end to remove it any more soap residue now we’re gonna take the dry end and dry that out and then lastly I like to clean my belly but my belly piercing after I’ve done that so I both ends dipped in the solution and we’re just gonna go into the top that clean and then I’m gonna clean the bottom remember my belly button my belly piercing looks a lot different because I had a child so that’s it for this part Ariana I hope that this is what you’re looking for and hopefully it’s better than some of the other ones where they do it dry just because I’m I don’t think you can really get all the dirt and bacteria out doing it dry remember to do this once a week in the shower I guess you don’t have to do it in the shower but I think the shower is the best place for it since you’re already in there so all right I think I’ve covered everything that’s really important now I don’t think I said I wasn’t going to do this but I think I will just because so one second all right so now I am gonna just go around really quickly and clean my piercing so going to clean the outside of this we’re gonna clean the outside of the one good thing I’m not wearing foundation or my foundation would look like crap now we’re gonna get another q-tip we’re gonna clean down here and again I will be doing a rinse afterwards with my Monroe removed as well so it will do a thorough cleaning job and now because my septum sits in here and I also have my nose pierced I’m going to be doing this and this will actually help cleaning your sinuses too so one more side and there we have it now I think that’s everything I really feel compelled or I feel like you guys really really need to know so I think it’s time to close up this video anyways I really hope that this was helpful in any way shape or form just remember to keep your hands clean wash your hands before you remove the jewelry and wash your hands while you’re handling the glory and watch them one more time while you’re putting the jewelry back just so you don’t put anything bad back in there remember to use distilled water all of the measurements will be in the description and part two on maintaining your tattoos will be Friday I know a lot
